2011 in review
2011 was a year of big events. i can now say that i finally feel settled in new york with amazing friends, a great job and an incredible fiance (!). i cannot wait for everything 2012 will bring…
january:
- we had an amazing trip to the poconos for eaglefest and hampton got his fill of playing in the snow.
- we had our inaugural book club, and i can now say that these ladies are some of my closest most amazing friends.
february:
- i increased my calorie consumption with the opening of doughnut plant in chelsea
- i baked, a lot
- i got new glasess
(february was not very exciting)
march:
- l and i took a lovely trip to the hamptons
- alexis and i took a cupcake baking class
- i saw a lot of great theater
april:
- i chopped off all my hair
- j and i took a lovely trip to chicago for a wedding
may:
- i celebrated with emily at her bachelorette party
- j and i discovered off-leash hours at central park
- i saw the alexander mcqueen exhibit at the met
- i got crafty and made a some artwork for j
- j + i finally got a vacation and headed off to london
june:
- we had an amazing time in london
- i got some really awful job news
- then i celebrated the big 2-6
- then i went to charleston with some amazing ladies
- then i really lucked out and found a new job (!!)…and j took me to babbo to celebrate
(june was a CRAZY month)
july:
- we had a beautiful 4th of july weekend on the cape
- we saw the book of mormon
- i spent some time out in the hamptons and hampton took his first boat ride
august:
- i started my new job
- we took another trip out to the hamptons
- we had an earthquake!
- hurricane irene “happened,” but it didn’t prevent a visit with luci, steph and annie
september:
- i had a fantastic weekend in connecticut at liz’s lake house
- we celebrated j’s birthday and our 3 year anniversary
october:
november:
- i helped cheer on theodora as she ran the nyc marathon
- we found our wedding venue (april 2013 here we come)
- i had a really nice thanksgiving in nj with the future in-laws
- michigan beat ohio state!
december:
- i went down to philly to celebrate selena at her bridal shower
- i got into the christmas spirit
- i thought back and realized how lucky i am to have had such an amazing, fulfilling year
happy new year everyone! hope 2012 is even better!
